The ELICIA project aims to transform European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) into creativity-focused innovation and AI-driven enterprise hubs. In line with the EIT HEI Initiative, it strengthens institutional capacity and cross-disciplinary collaboration, enabling
HEIs to develop entrepreneurial skills and harness the potential of artificial intelligence and creative technologies.
Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary innovation by establishing Creative Innovation Labs, developing AI- and creativity-focused curricula, and supporting student-led projects and startups. ELICIA equips students, researchers, and academic staff with the skills they need to

Empowering Future-Ready HEIs through Technology and Creativity
At the core of its approach lies a two-cluster model: the Innovative Technologies Cluster, focusing on AI and digital competencies, and the Development Cluster, centred on creativity-driven skills such as design and game development. Through capacity-building programs, interdisciplinary projects, workshops, and mentorship, ELICIA provides participants with the competencies required to develop sustainable solutions and bring innovative ideas closer to market.
By 2030, ELICIA aims to position its partner HEIs as recognized hubs of innovation, strengthening Europe’s knowledge-based economy and building an inclusive, future-ready ecosystem where technology, creativity, and society converge.
